Pit-Tor trade
To Pit- Pit 1st round
To Tor- M. Murray
Pit risks losing Murray in exspantion and get there late first rounder back
Rather have a goalie prospect like Murray then whoever is available that late
Go easy on me.

Murray is looking better than Fleury right now, and Zatkoff in my opinion stinks.
I guess this trade may make more sense if he starts sucking in the playoffs, but if he continues to play this way, I think he will stay.

Pitt would expose Fleury in the expansion draft so they wouldn't even contemplate trading Murray at the moment. Worth a shot though.

Murray won't go through expansion draft. Didn't play enough years to in the NHL. So he's safe no matter what.

Never mind my comment above. It'll be his fourth year in either the AHL or NHL so he's not exempted. Thought the rule was only for the NHL. Rule states first and second year players in the NHL or AHL are allowed to be exempted.

I would consider that trade if Pit adds a second.

It won't be matt Murray who Pens make available for Expansion draft but more likely Fleury who will be 30 years old and no longer part of the plan as Penguins move forward.

Not a bad idea, although I think our picks this year are pretty valuable to finishing filling the cupboards. Would rather give an average prospect (Levio/Leipsic/Percy etc. ) ontop of a 3rd-2nd. But maybe I'm off.

All the rules for the expansion draft are not out yet. Fleury can not be trade without giving his OK. The Pens might have to automatically protect him in the expansion draft because of that is in his contract. If I was asked if I would want to go to an expantion team or stay with the team that I have played my whole career with.hmmmm. I think I would stay! Haha I'm sure the players Agents/Union will be on his side because that no movement claus is a contract. The Pens might have to trade Murry or loose him for nothing! Just some thing to think about!

Agree that Pitt would probably leave Fleury unprotected and move forward with Murray, makes more sense for the organization.

Forgot about those no movement clauses. does make for a very interesting expansion draft when SO MANY players would be exempt. If the NHL is serious about not having a basket case expansion team they should allow them to be exposed and/or on the protected list automatically. let's see how this drama unfolds. Good points gents
