New to this site, always read but looks super fun

Anyhow my idea for a trade would be

Edmonton Oilers

Leon Draisaitl

Toronto Maple Leafs

Morgan Reilly


Helps the leafs rebuild, especially if they did win the draft and get Austin Mathews for 1-2 down the middle and Edmonton gets their top pairing D man. I know this leaves the leafs down a really good defensman so maybe Yandle can be signed in free agency?

Anyhow just new and looked fun hope to hear thoughts :)

A fair and decent trade proposal, although if the Leafs draft Matthews they would have Matthews and Nylander for a 1-2. However, if the Leafs lose out on Matthews and get a Winger like Laine, maybe visit this.

When you fill one need and create an even bigger need somewhere else it's not improving your team. In the old NHL rich teams like the leafs had an advantage when it came to contracts. Now it's more balanced. What's the allure for a player like Yandle to come to a rebuilding team?
