I suggested a Islanders trade earlier this year but will take another shot at one similar. It seems like a lot of the Nylander trades are getting smaller in the value coming back so this one I think reflects a pretty fair value in we would be getting a young roster player who can play Centre and right wing who got more confident and productive as the year went on, and a young defensemen that apparently is the one player every team wants from the Islanders in every trade proposition, along with a sleeper player the Islanders picked 202nd but is in the running for rooking of the year in the WHL in his first year playing there, and of course we want the Islanders 1st round pick this year 13th overall.



Islanders get William Nylander

Leafs Get Cal Ritchie, Kashawn Aitcheson, Jacob Kvasnicka and 13th overall pick (Or higher depending on Lottery)

It gives us a potential 2nd or 3rd line Centre with Ritchie or as a right winger if can do a deal for a Centre. We get Aitcheson who can blast opponents out of their Skates almost as hard as he can blast the puck. He would be that D-man we have looked around for, for years that has a cannon for a shot and can play both ends of the rink. Kvasnicka of course is a long shot but still finished 12th in scoring in the WHL. The 13th overall pick guarantees we still get a decent player if for some reason we get bumped out of the top 5 in the lottery.

Isles move up to 10th overall

Either could make the Leafs D next fall.

@Golftown Yep could see that work. Combined with my trade.

First 3 lines would be

Knies, Matthews, Ritchie
Cowan, Malholtra, Tuch
Domi (And leave him at one position one line), Holinka, Tavares (Use him for Defensive faceoffs until Holinka gets more experience)
Groulx, Joshua, Lorentz

Fill in the d after the draft and free agency and trades more trades could alter the forward lines too.

But off to a good start.
