Oh my. It seems I’ve lost Zaitsev. That poor man. He still deserves to be on the team if I haven’t traded him. We should keep him around for backup this year while we can still afford him in case Liljegren or Makar show signs of faltering or become injured.

Cmon man what are u smoking . Toronto would never give that much up in a deal for Makar and jost. Take away the first and give them a 3 rd draft choice instead of 1st.

For Makar, I think we have to make them an offer they can’t refuse. Jost has very high ceiling but isn’t doing very good in Colorado. He is a low risk/ high reward player that we get thrown in. Mathematically, (Makar - Dermott) + Jost = Kapanen + 1st. So if you think Jost = Kapanen, then the difference in value between Makar and Dermott is a 1st.

Just my way of looking at it.
