If I had to choose between those two deals, at first glance, I might lean towards the Carolina deal for obvious reasons, including Pesce, who is very underrated. Although I doubt very much that Carolina parts with either of their players for the fore mentioned deal.

I haven't been following much lately on individual players but wasn't Murray injured and incincsistent for much of his career? Perhaps this would be an opportunity for the Leafs to buy low?
