So looking at the Drouin trade,a good young forward can net you a top flight D prospect that is NHL ready (although no or little NHL games)

Drouin 21G, 32A, 53PT in 73 Games
Brown 20G, 16A, 36PT in 82 games

So Brown is lower in point totals, but fairly even in goals.

To ANA: F - C. Brown + 2018 5th

To TOR: D - B. Montour + 2018 2nd

Babcock loves Brown, he is not going anywhere. Sosh maybe, but not Brown.

Would be a good trade for both teams in strengthening areas of need. The leafs would be getting a player projected to be in a top four defensive role, while the Ducks would be adding some scoring to their line up.

To FLA: rychel, lowest 2nd rounder in 2018

To Tor: petrovic

This will allow hultstrom to make the team and adds more speed to fla's back end/ takes some of the pressure of the top guys to produce offence. The leafs get the Polak style replacement w/ more offensive upside and Babcock can mold him.

To ARI: jvr, marchenko, soshnikov, 2017 2nd
To Tor : 7th oa, 23 oa

Puts Toronto in range to get makar or middelstadt ( leafs center depth is still relatively weak), select brannstrom or liljegren with 17 and trade 23 for a first and 2nd to who ever will take it leave komarov unprotected for Vegas.
