There is a method behind my madness Stamkos is reported to stay in Tampa and that Is GREAT for Toronto because it makes us significantly worse lol as it sounds the leafs need to sucks one more season JVR is a great player I love him really do but he's the next domino to fall due to the fact that he is unbelievably under paid and will demand an extension worth a lot more money. We are going to need to pay our big 3 prospects Nylander, marner and Matthews so we need money because cap space is the secret in today's NHL.

So Let's trade for a 1st pairing dman so let's suck for another year get a top 10 (praying top5) pick next year and pick up a defensemen (I wouldn't mind Nolan Patrick) but there is great defensemen like Timothy Liljegren or a 6'6 tower of Nicolas Hague

I personally wouldn't trade JVR till trade deadline. By then I think he will have been having his best season to date. After all he has never played with anyone of the caliber of Matthews before. I predict big things this season for JVR His value will be through the roof.
