I just don't see why we trade Brodie for a struggling forward. Jenner and Peeke would be good targets, but the fact Columbus just extended Peeke, makes me believe he is going nowhere.

Out is Brodie Holl Robertson Niemala Jarnkork Oilers 2nd Kerfoot and Abruzzese. Brodie 1 year left. Holl UFA. Jarnkrok 3 years left and Kerfoot a UFA.
In Peeke, Jenner, Puljarvi and Domi. Peeke and Jenner signed for 3 more years. Puljarvi and RFA and Domi a UFA.
Saved about $2M in cap space this year I beleive.

Except for moving Jarnkrok and losing two NHL D-men to acquire one, when taking all the moves as a whole into account, I think it is pretty solid. I'd switch Domi and Bunting in the lineup, but otherwise, looks pretty good to me.

Take out the Edmonton deal and it could all make sense. Trading 2 NHL defenceman and our best D prospect for one defenceman dosen't seem to make much sense to me. I realize Holl is one of those 2 D and Peeke is young and has control.

I created a username and password just to find out where the good stuff is that you are smoking. Ridiculous trades. I can only assume you are a habs fan after reading this. A fire sale when they are doing well makes no sense. Need D and that's it. Maybe pick up a forward as long as a stud Dman is picked up first.
