Edmonton gets
Brown RW
Toronto's 3rd & 5th round pick 2019

Tor gets
Puljujarvi RW

I saw this next trade on the site earlier and liked it so I decided to add it to my trade.

Ottawa gets
Marleau LW with the intent to buy out remaining year and Marleau signs somewhere on the west coast.
Engvall LW
Toronto's 6th & 7th round picks 2020
6 million in cash considerations not sure if this is legal and if not we wait until July 2 to make the trade where Toronto pays the cap hit up front. It Makes the trade more appealing for Ottawa to make it to cap floor without paying for it.

Toronto gets
Kelly LW/C

Arizona gets
Zaitsev D

Tor gets
Lyubushkin D

Columbus gets
Kapanen RW

Toronto gets
Savard D

Toronto's Forward lines
Hymn/Tavares/Marner
Johnsson/Mathews/Nylander
Moore/Kadri/Puljujarvi
Gauthier/Petan/Bracco

Toronto's defensive lines
Riley/Savard
Muzzin/Lyubushkin
Dermot/Rosen

Brown for Puljujarvi is a yes. Cost cutting manoeuvre, we all know Brown is going to get traded. Puljujarvi is cheap and might do better with a change of scenery. Low risk/ high reward style trade that makes sense for both teams if Edmonton would do it.

Kapanen for Savard is another yes. I literally just finished reading an article on Savard. He had a pretty outstanding year last season, and arguably was Columbus’ best defenseman. The only issue I have here is the fact that he only has two years left on his contract. If Columbus would provide us with a pick, oh wait, they don’t have any left, hahaha. But seriously, if Columbus could add another long term asset of some sort to even out the contracts, it’s a good deal for both teams. Columbus deep in defensemen are about to lose a lot of very high quality forwards. Kapanen is excellent choice to replace them.

Your lineups look good. Savard beside Rielly is perfect. He is the exact type player we need to support Rielly.

What about the Ottawa Trade is that doable? I guess I’ll look it up myself but I just figured that someone that knows more would be able to clarify it anyway as always thanks for the comments.

Melnyk is notoriously cheap and you think he is going to allow a trade for a player who he then buys out? Do you know anything about hockey at all, ?

I don’t like the Ottawa trade. That’s why I didn’t comment on it. We’ve seen very similar proposals to it before, and I always say the same thing: Marleau would not agree to it, and it wouldn’t be allowed by the league. Cash is also not allowed anymore (for a long time actually) .

The Arizona trade I missed. I think it’s a good one too. Lyubushkin is a lot cheaper and not on a long term contract like Zaitsev. He might be a good cheap plug for a year or two. At least we get rid of Zaitsev.
