Connor Brown and a 4th for Kassian, Khaira and Chaisson
This adds depth while only subtracting one roster player. Kassian, Khaira and Chaisson will only cost 1-1.5 mil each moving forward. Dubas should be able to sign all 3 for a total of 4 mil. These 3 easily replace Browns output and add size.
Then trade a 4th for McQuaid.

Second scenario-Johnson or Kappanen want more than the Leafs are willing to pay in their next contract. If that's the case, one of them plus Brown to Anaheim for Manson, Ritchie and Silverberg

Love both scenerios. both get leafs bigger with playoff type guys while not losing much of your speed or skill.

Really like this trade if Edmonton would go for it. Like to add to it, make the 4th a 5th and add Lindholm from the Leafs. Evens out the cap hits (Leafs take on $200K) and gives Oilers a player to look at for next year.
Then flip Chaisson with Kadri for Ferland and Pesce. Canes looking for scoring and cheap players. Chaisson and Ferland have very similar numbers except for hits. RW for a LW. About $500K extra cap hit for the Leafs.

Ferland - Matthews - Kapanen
Hyman - Tavaras - Marner
Johnsson - Nylander - Kassian
Khaira* - Marleau - Ennis
* when he comes off IR, until then, Goat moves Marleau to the wing.
Gives the Leafs some "push back" on every line and the Best 4 deep centre's in the league.
Rielly - Pesce
Muzzin - Dermott
Gardiner - Zaitsev
A top defender on the ice at all times. Hainsey, Holl and Goat as the extra's with Oz and Moore getting playing time with the Marlies.

Thanks Davido and kudos to you for starting it off with a good trade suggestion. Just a side note, the extra 700K the Leafs pick up in salary is offset by the 900K+ they save sending Oz down (waiver exempt) .
