With kerfoot signing at 3.5 aav and ceci getting no less than 4.5 as per, that leaves 8.5 for marner? I doubt that's going to cut it for marners camp. Someone has to be on their way out.

Same term and aav very close. I would much prefer brodie over ceci. Think Calgary would feel the same way though.

As much as I like marner, thinking about what dubas could do with the money saved and possible 4 1st round picks is exciting. If he stays or goes leafs kind of win either way. I do believe he will stay with Toronto but man. what if?

Being an advanced stats guy i don't think ceci is a dubas type of player by a long shot. I agree something might be in the works.

Ceci just signed for 1 year 4.5. Will leave 8.5 mil in cap space after hortons contract gets buried to resign marner? Hope dubas has something up his sleeve high anxiety for leaf fans right now.

Oilers look to have very little cap space according to cap friendly. They would have to move multiple contracts or 1 large one to meet marners silly contract expectations. Like an R. N. H or drisatil.
