Here's my thoughts I think the leafs can make a run this year, not sure if they have what it takes to win the cup but if our top 6 players take it one notch then anything is possible! The top six as follows Tavares, Mathews, Marner, Nylander, Riley, Muzzin, I do think we have the bottom ranks filled with great role players so why mix that up let's put the pressure on the top guys because that's what this team needs!
Ritchie, didn't work out, Mrazek is injured quite often. These guys maybe help Edmonton maybe they don't. We get a back-up goalie and back up 4th line C plus we load up some young players for the AHL! When the season ends Kessel, Koskenan, Turris, Clifford plus more off the books the leafs end up with some much needed cap space to really make a run next season while this seasons team makes their run at a cup and I like there chances!
Anyone thoughts?

You are not getting Broberg in that deal for a bunch of nithing players. a backup signed for too much and 2 long. an overpaid 4th liner in Ritchie and to mid level prospects.

This is horrible idea to get rid of Muzzin the leafs have cap space coming with their top guys signed if you trade anyone it’s Marner!
