I think Jenner is an ideal target, who can play 2C and is relatively cheap. Hes fiesty, a leader and already plays in all situations.

Columbus get another young goal scorer that fits their time line, another 2nd round pick and a veteran in Kampf.

I like all these targets although I can't see Columbus trading Jenner and would like Montour around 6 million.

Montour is already 30 years old so giving him $7M x 6 years seems like a really bad idea!
Tanev is 34 years old and will be 35 before Christmas.
Like the guy but 2 years to a 35 year old with a lengthy and extensive injury history, I would stay away from.

Jenner, the Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets has made it very clear he does not want to be traded.
He would be a great 2nd/ 3rd line center for the Leafs, but if he wants to stay with the CBJs I can not see Davidson trading him, particularly for a return of Robertson, Kampf and a 2nd round pick.

@WB pretty much all UFA's are 29/ 30. This is the way it works if adding to your team through the FA market.
You've advocated for Pesce, he'll be 30 as well this year and is expecting full term 6/ 7 years so same scenario.
Leafs will have to bite the bullet somewhere if picking up a UFA or two.
