Tor: sandin 1st Robertson 3rd
Sjs: Meier bonino

If the leafs truly want to go for it this maybe a trade that would give them what it takes I'm not high on losing sandin but I do think he was rushed into the nhl I was a someone who said liljgren was a bust when sandin made the nhl before him but now look it's the other way around and I think with the current lineup I don't see sandin as a great fit anymore the sharks have no up and coming blue liners and their nhl blue line is not very good sandin would be a good pickup for them. Robertson had high expectations and I think C.V. and his health played a big factor in what he could be right now he will get more of a chance on a rebuilding team. Meier slits into the top line with matthews and marner bonino added experience and depth that we have been missing this year up the middle holmberg is fine but he's just getting his toes wet in the nhl

They need good defencemen that can make quick work of the puck in their own end to move it up ice and that’s there biggest problem, they screw around with it and get checked then it’s a turn over. Reilly has got to be they’re worst defenceman.

Forgot to say Meier is 50% retained and then the leafs either resign him or flip him at the draft for a late 1st.

@tml1122 the knocks I have on Reilly is he’s always trying to play offence first I mean sometimes he’s beating the forwards up ice then my other knock is he can get a point shot through to save his life which I think kills the power play some nights.

Leafs can ill afford to trade a defenseman for two more forwards.
2023 - 1st round pick, Matthew Knies is likely what it would take for Meier.
But Meier is a UFA, rental and Leafs can not afford to resign him even if they pass on resigning Bunting.
So exactly why?
I don’t see Bonino being an upgrade over Kerfoot so why add him?
