Why can't we just go get the player we need that will make a difference? . this player added alone would of got us past tampa, and probably to the cup finals last season . and now there's rumours that he's available? . what are we waiting for?

Kerfoot
Sandin
1st rd pick
Heck. if needed I'd even throw in Robertson

For. drumroll please.

J. T. freaking MILLER!

He's a difference maker. go get em!

I agree with going after Miller. He might only be a rental, but he's exactly what's needed.

Would love to add him! If we can make the cap work. Someone may have to retain salary.

Makes our cap worse.

Rsears ya maybe but the product on ice you have to admit is better. That is what really counts imo. Now, . not later. Plus we still have youth to back us up for the future.

@Rsears Ithink if JT Miller is brought in, Nylander has to go. Which I'm also fine with.

I agree that Miller would be a very helpful add but you’ve traded away a key piece the Leafs have to get cap compliant.

You would be $3+m over cap following this trade and will have also lost Sandin and your 1st round pick for a 1-year rental. I believe every move should be balanced against longer term needs as well.

And, of course, Miller can’t be resigned if you expect to keep Matthews and Marner so it’s strictly short term in nature.

I’d be interested if I had a place for Muzzin and yes I believe his need ranks ahead of Nylander. And yes I know I’m alone in that wish.

Agreed. The only way to really fit in Miller is if Nylander goes. Even moving Holl for a pick if Kerfoot is in the deal for Miller doesn't create enough cap room.
