Giroux 8.275 to Toronto for Kerfoot 3.5, Dermott 1.5 & a 1st & 3rd rd pick in 2023. With Philadelphia eating half of Giroux contract.

Ok, so we are losing Lilly, Dermott, Holl, Kerfoot, Mrazek, 2 1st, 2nd, and 2 3rd + Niemela for Giroux, Chychrun, Schenn and Halak. I do like the players we got but that seems like a steep price, and Arz. will not hold back half on Chychrun, he is signed for like 3-4 years.

I am not giving up Niemela and Hirvonen for Schenn and Halak who is not even having a good year. and there is no way Arizona eats half of Chychrun's contract for what you are sending them.

Alternative in any trade scenario, can also be a 3rd party team eating contracts because they value either prospects or picks and have cap space. Like an Arizona, Buffalo, Ottawa or Seattle. Pkg put forth for Chychrun others would say it is to much, can't please everybody. Leafs need a star player a point a game guy, to play with Tavares and Nylander. A Giroux, Hertl, Miller would provide that with a little toughness, grit and high end skill. Obviously a top 4 D man is needed, Leafs need more stability they also need more scoring from backend, that is a must to succeed in the playoffs. A Chychrun, Jones or Klingberg would fit the bill.
