Lol. Engvall is not better than McLeod. How many points do you think Engvall would have if he was in NJ and playing a shutdown role. Engvall is also 2 years older and played a similar amount of games.

Unless there is a defenseman coming back in any Nylander trade it’s a complete no go.
Siegenthaler would be a good fit with the Leafs.
McLeod is finally beginning to find his way in the NHL and would be a good 3rd line center for the Leafs allowing them to slide Kampf back to 4th line center where he belongs.
Pavel Zacha is a left wing and Leafs already have an abundance of those.
I would prefer Dawson Mercer (ELC) who is a right wing/ center.

To NJ: Nylander and Dermot

To Leafs: Siegenthaler, Mercer and McLeod.

About McLeod I haven’t seen him play enough to say one way or the other, but living in Calgary I saw a lot of Bennett and was always on board. Bennett reminds me of kadri light.

WB49. Zacha can play C or W. Kampf is a solid 3C. Don't know why you keep insisting he is a 4th line player. Siegenthaler is a 3rd pair D imo. Not sure how that helps the Leafs. I'd like Mercer as well. What are the chances NJ moves him? I also noted $4.5M in New cap space to get a Dman who should be better than Sieg.

WB49. I just want to add that don't you think saying a D HAS to comeback in any Nylander trade is a little short sighted imo.
If you can get quality assets and cap space for Nylander that are not D-men, but that allows you to then add a D from another team (using some of those assets or others the Leafs have), where their D is more coveted to what the Leafs are looking for, why wouldn't you do it that way?
