Myers, Boeser, Horvat, Miller & Halak to Toronto for Kerfoot, Ritchie, Holl, Mzarek, Sandin, Amirov, Niemela, Hirvonen,a 1st rd pick in 2022, 2023 & 2024 draft. With Vancouver eating half of all contracts excluding the 6 million on Myers contract with 2yr remaining.

Third party trade
Columbus acquires half of 2.9 million left on Boeser contract a UFA in 2022, aling with half of Myers 6 million contract for 2 more seasons beyond this the 2021 / 2022 season for a 2nd & 3rd rd draft pick in 2022 & 2023.

Final cap numbers : The incoming cap hit is approx. 11 million, outgoing contracts 11.8 million.

Bunting Matthews Marner
Miller Tavares Boeser
Mikheyev Horvat Nylander
Spezza Kamp Kase

Depth : Simmonds, Clifford, Engvall, Robertson, Steeves,Suomela, Anderson,Seney & Ho-Sang

Reilly Brodie
Muzzin Myers
Dermott Liljegren
Duszak Kral

Campbell Halak

* Not as a slight but as a compliment, Nylander I put with Horvat & Mikheyev based on skating ability would be a smoking fast line. Tavares line not smoking fast but highly skilled, able to grind it out in the dirty areas & along the boards with Miller & Boeser as wingers. Obvious Marner & Matthews can be dominate, at both ends of the ice.

Leafs would go all in to win a Cup now, grit & toughness element would increase exponentially with Miller, Boeser, Horvat & Myers. That would bode well for the Leafs in the playoffs, with depth particularly at forward to support a deep playoff run or Championship victory.

A Leafs top 9 of

Bunting Matthews Marner
Miller Tavares Boeser
Mikheyev Horvat Nylander

No teams roster including Colorado, Florida, Tampa, etc. could match that.

A top 4 D of

Reilly Brodie
Muzzin Myers

that could eat up 50 minutes a game or more.

I think this wouldn’t happen because of how much cap space is going to be taken up but those are really good options but like I said it would love to have them but it’s going to cost a lot of money coming the other way and players that Dubas won’t want to give up.

Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the Toronto Canucks!

No thanks and this one is NOT even funny.

Please tinker and don’t overhaul. The Leafs are 4th by points per game.

WHY make this many changes?

Leafs have failed in the playoffs for a few reasons, grit, toughness and being predictable with a questionable defensive group. An overhaul is needed and an upgrade at D, F and net would solidify the team, to compete against Colorado, Tampa, Florida, Carolina, etc. To beat those teams you can't have too much firepower, and a strong D is essential. Based on sweeting a trade or third party trades, teams will retain salary for a price. Cap numbers work out in the trades proposed, basically a wash after adding Schenn @ 850 K.

Leafs would have under contract for 2022 / 2023 Matthews, Marner, Bunting, Miller, Tavares, Horvat, Nylander, Kampf, Reilly, Brodie, Muzzin and Myers. So two good kicks to win a Cup now.

All in is a good thing, unfortunately last season, Dubas overvalued Folignos skill level and durability. Toronto currently is still not overall as a team, good enough to make a deep playoff run.
