Yes this is are you kidding me proposal but wouldn't it help both Teams in all aspects ? Detroit brings in one of the best Centres in the NHL to build around, Toronto yes loses Matthews but with the talent they already have adding 2 top 6 players plus a high 1st Round Pick plus another 2nd Rounder and a 3rd Rounder keeps the prospect pool going strong for the future, and with the Cap money of Matthews off the books they can resign Hyman if they choose to.

Makes both teams worse. The draft picks will take 2 years to develop and the leafs are poor at development level.

Who does Matthews play with on Detroit? Detroit needs more picks not a star player.
