Dermott, lehtonen, bagoshian, sandin, byram all fight it out for bottom pairing. We end up with the best top 4 in the league and its arguable if we regress at all up front. Colorado likely wouldn't make this deal, but saying Matthews is untradeable is foolish. But if this deal went through, we then make a trade next off season before the expansion draft

There is zero chance the Aves do this trade. Trading Matthews to Arizona will get the Leafs a great return.

Islandjet I specifically said I don't think Colorado does this. This trade was based around a previous post saying Matthews is untouchable. The right deal makes Matthews tradable, something like this is the return you hope for. Arizona doesn't have the pieces to make a matthews deal.

If your point is if the leafs were offered that would they take it, then yes 100% they would. However this is obviously not something that would happen, which is why Matthews likely will never be moved, or at least not until the last year of his deal.
