Essentially you traded Kadri for pieterangelo and liljegren is a bust

How can you call liljergen a bust so early in his career? Defenceman take much more time to develop. Leafs biggest problem is giving up on prospects before they develop.

AP isn't a smart idea unless one of marner/ nylander/ Tavares gets traded. 50% of our cap tied into 5guys? There needs to be some sort of balance.

Honestly I don’t think Liljgren is a bust. Just because he is a prospect for Toronto and hasn’t made the NHL yet that’s why people are saying he is a bust. Defenceman usually take longer to develope then forwards though. Just look how long it took Makar.

Is Kerfoot + Liljegren even worth a 1st? I want to believe that it is, but without taking any cap back, I find it hard to believe that we would even get that for them.

Pietrangelo is a great player. And I’m sure the best way to build a team is to give 6 guys $66M, and fill in the rest of the roster with league minimum inserts. Now that would be true studs’n’duds.

Sens with their 28th or Sharks with the 31st may take the Kerfoot and Liljegren deal. Regardless, we need to move a lot more cap space to sign Piet. If we get Piet, most likely Nylander goes. If not Nylander, then it is Freddie and a cheap replacement brought in, but that would still mean more cap has to go out.
