-In case you haven't heard there is a rumour Buffalo may not qualify Montour due to his arbitration rights and they already have an abundance of RHD so it's possible he may just walk.

For all those who think Manson will be good beside Reilly, Roy surpasses Manson in all aspects of the game, especially in his own end. He is also cheaper, younger, and an RFA when his contract is up.

Keep Sandin and Liljgren in the minors for depth but so they can both still play.

If there is an injury, or Montour or Roy for some reason start to struggle, we could easily call up Sandin or Liljgren.

There is also the possibility to trade either Dermott, Kapanen, or both to get a new top pairing guy at the deadline such as Petry (or someone of that status).

We hit a sad point in my world when we consider Roy a 1RHD and he is probably the best partner Reilly has ever had lol. I would definitely make the toy trade though.

I wouldn't trade Holl just yet. I'd let him play out next season at least and see how he does.

If Johnson for Anderson is on the table pull the trigger.

Roy is probably one of the guys I'm most keen on getting but it would be to play on the second pair. I don't think just getting him is enough to make a big change that we need. Roy and holl on the second and third pair is a really good start though.

Taking risk on montour is a good move
Getting anderson for johnsson would be great

Giving up on mikheyev and abramov isn't wise yet
Holl is needed if Roy isn't dealt for

Overall solid suggestions.

Roy/ Montour/ Lehtonen doesn't scream Stanley Cup contending team. It just seems weak and is missing something. Like a Gudas or Hagg or someone like that. I'd rather keep Holl over Montour I guess. Even though that is a wash at best.
