I would never pay that much for Anderson and Savard.

How much is malgin really worth? A 6th maybe?

Wouldnt give up that much for Manson either.

Isn't DuClaire a free agent? I could be wrong. I didn't check CapFriendly. He missed that only be RFA. Either way, I'm not sold on him. He had one good year on a bad team. Mainly because someone has to score the goals, so he was the go to guy by default. He will be getting overpaid based on this year's production. He isn't a guy we should be overpaying to come on the team for a bottom 6 role.

All the guys coming back are bottom of the roster players on our team too. Except maybe Manson. He might get that second top 4 RHD spot by default. We don't have anyone else to plug in there right now. But I don't think of him as a top 4 defenseman anymore. The two forwards are bottom 6 players. DuClaire sucks. He had one good season. I see no reason why we should give anything up for him.

Funny thing is, if someone posted a similar trade involving Jets players for the players involved here, you would be the first one going on about how Anderson isn't worth anything after he just had the worst season ever. Lol. Always so predictable. You and RedWing must be best friends.

Islandjet just because a trade has Bracco doesn’t make it terrible. You can f*** right off if you think that. I’m tired of the way you downplay leafs players and call all of them “bottom line forwards” or “overpaid pieces of sh*t.

Kapanen is a 40 point player who could probably play top 6 and get 60 points if given the chance. Holl is a defenceman who really put of some great numbers this year and proved he is an NHL defenceman. Kerfoot is a proven 40 point player who can play on the wing or at Centre, which can be really useful. Johnsson was on pace for 40 points even after coming off an injury and he is a proven 20 goal scorer. Dermott is an above average young defenceman who came off an injury and still did everything the leafs asked of him. He could be Top 4 if Muzzin didn’t sign an extension.

Gauthier and Malgin are the only bottom line players in these trades and although Bracco is still unproven, you can’t ignore the fact the he was one of the best AHL scorers last year and you could tell the Marlies missed him this year. I’m not saying these guys are worth first round picks, but their not terrible players.

I’m sure if it was Roslovic or Copp I’m these trade you would say the Jets would never do it. So just f*** right off bud and either comment something that’s at least close to true or don’t comment at all.

Islandjet, you are way off on your analysis here. First trade a proven top 6 forward a 4/ 5 d man, a b level prospect and a 2nd round pick for a 3/ 4 d man and a forward who was injured all season and has one good year to his name. Trade 2 ducks probably don’t add a third in the trade, but Manson isn’t worth a bunch as a 3/ 4 d man, getting a top 9 forward and a number 4/ 5 d man with upside seems pretty good to me. Kerfoot and a third to the Sens for duclair really, what is duclair. He had a decent start to his career, completely fell of the earth, then had a really good start to the season with ottawa then fell off the earth again. Use some real hockey knowledge, not just a need to bash the leafs, do you really not have anything better to do?

On e again the Leafs sits is trolled by a Winnipeg fan with nothing better to do than insult NHL players. What a joke.

All of these trades favor the other team. If Leafs made any of these deals, Dubas would be fired instantly. Or at least he should be. None of these deals improve us singularly. And combined, the team doesn't look any better than it is already.

Leafs don't get back a single top line player. Savard is slotted in to top line by default, and he is a pending UFA. We give up 6 good roster players, plus picks, while only recieving four players back, one of whom is a pending UFA (Savard), another of whom is the even a top 4 defenseman in the league anymore (Manson), a forward that was injured most of the season and coming off his worst year yet, and another forward who had one half decent season playing top line for the worst team in the league.

Trading for DuClaire now would be the equivalent of JFJ trading for Jason Blake after his 40 goal season. It's a buy high situation and one that would absolutely backfire for Leafs as DuClaire would be playing bottom six for us and would never be able to replicate his performance on the Leafs.

Anyway, it's official, IslandJet is the new troll of the site. Welcome to the job IslandJet. DuClaire is an RFA. He made $1.65M last year, which means he will be making closer to $2.5M next year. He is not worth it. He is coming off inflated numbers that he would never be able to reproduce on Leafs third line.

The sad thing is, I like the Jets too. They are my second favorite teams. But fans like IJ and MMJ make it difficult to appreciate their team when they lack the same respect for ours.
