Leafs trade a player that is a proven 30 goal scorer and an ok goalie for a top 4 right handed shot a goalie prospect to play with Bibeau and a pick.

What a one sided trade. JVR is way over-rated and at best a 3rd liner on the Jets while Sparks would be 4th on the Jets goalie roster. Trouba would be a 1/2 d-man on the Leafs while Comrie will become a very good starter in a couple of years. Yak for a 3rd may be good once he is removed from the under achieving, floaters on the Oilers, McDavid not included. He may find his game when pushed by the Jets hard working vets or his clothes will end up in the shower and he will be traded.

JVR a third liner on Winnipeg? Maybe not first line if ehlers plays better in that line, but there is no way Dano is ahead of jvr in Winnipeg. You don't know hockey islandjet

Islandjet keeps posting that Jvr is worth nothing or a 3rd liner at best, guys a joke and has obviouly never watched a game. Jvr is a solid power forward with talent he puts up around 30 goals a year, was a second overall pick. Would think you could trade him for a mid to top first round pick and prospect.

Toronto was so bad that Kadri and JVR had to be on the top 2 lines. He is going to be 28 and will be overpaid for what he brings. He is brought up several times a day in trade rumors so the Leaf nation must see something in JVR that they are trying to dump him. Keep him on the Leafs and stop trolling him in trade rumors.

Leafs are trying to trade everyone 27 and older on the team to fit with the rebuild. (Except uncle Leo - plays like a 23 yr old).

They are in full rebuild. They will clean out 30 - 40 M in old and dead weight cap space by next year.

The Leafs don't need to waste their money on Trouba. It's quite obvious Winnipeg doesn't want to. Even Seth Jones got his payday already. What is the hold up. Maybe he's not that good!

So you would rather put Connor, an 19 year old rookie on the second line than putting jvr, 28 years old in his prime who would be a great first liner on almost any team? Next year, maybe Connor moves up past jvr, but jvr is better than Connor at this stage

JVR slow? Do you watch hockey at all Islandjet. he's not slow at all. Injured too much, yes. but not slow. When he plays he's as good as any LW the Jets have.
