How is this?

IMO JVR> EBerle so here is a 3way trade

NYI: JVR

Tor: Hamonic and a 3rd.

This would give Tavaras a perfect linemate.

Edm: 1st ( Not Mathews) and Ferrance

Tor: Hamonic, Komarov, Percy and pits 1st.

Gives EDM strong depth.

Toronto wouldn't trade JVR for Hamonic. I don't know why so many people are trying to trade the guy.

However, I do believe he is a perfect fit for the Leafs. Hamonic has expressed a desire to leave, but they just advanced to the 2nd round, that might change his opinion of Long Island. Also, NYI does not want to let him go, nor do they have to.

The time to get Hamonic was earlier in the season.

I have to say, I like your thinking but NYI have said that they want/need a Defence man back. I can't see NYI giving up a 3rd pick and Hamonic for JVR. Both are very good players and are on team friendly contracts. NYI could loose Okposo to free agency so they might go for it.

The Edm pick better be one of the top 3 pick because that's a lot to give up and I would drop the Ferrance contract.

Hamonic made it very clear he wants to play out west. last I checked Toronto was in Ontario.
