The prospect they should be going after is Provorov in Philly. They have a ton of depth on D and need cap relief/size on the wing on the cheap (JVR).

It would take JVR to get Provorov out of Philly. I just believe that JVR is worth a bit more than that.

JVR won't by himself get you Provorov. Leafs may be better to set their sights on Flyer defense prospect Travis Sandheim.

Philly is not trading Provorov. You might be able to get Sanhiem or Moran, but there cap isn't bad anymore. More likely JVR for Sanhiem and a 1st
