Leafs looking to sign Bernier to a 2 year deal, then trade him to Dallas for Olecksiak (spelling?)


it would probably go like

Leafs: Bernier and Matt Finn

Stars: Niemi and Oleksiak

i don't believe that the Stars would want to give up a prospect to acquire another goalie. They gave up a 3rd round pick for his rights and to give up a sure fire prospect to parlay Neimi for Bernie doesn't make sense. Maybe they give up Lehtonen because they have given up on him and his hefty contract. But they also have former first rounder Jack Campbell tuning his game in the AHL

I don't think the Leafs are actually looking to do that. Wherever you got this information it is incorrect.
