I suspect many are still hoping the Leafs can offload Reilly’s contract and allow Chayka to go big-game hunting for a UFA Dman, say Rasmus Andersson.

Just getting rid of Reilly is addition by subtraction.

SJS still needs a veteran Dman and they appear to be on Reill’s trade list so they’re my target.

I’d really like Filip Bystedt.

These two moves get us in the playoffs again and allow us to be a top level team.

I also think a couple more strategic UFA signings and trades makes us a SC contender.

Rielly has zero value otherwise he’d be gone by now unless Leafs retain 50 percent
