Frederik Anderson - Any team for a first round pick and or blue chip prospect.

Toronto:

William Nylander and a 2021 2nd round pick

Pittsburgh:

Matt Murray, and John Marino

Let’s be honest i don’t see any real scenario where Freddy is our starting goalie of the future, expiring contract and with the recent success he has had during his time in toronto some team will shell out big bucks to have him as there starting goaltender. His age will play a factor too i can’t see the leafs willing to pay north of $6 mill for a goalie that will be going into his age 31-32 season. Meanwhile Matt murray not having the best season of his life is going to lose his starting job to the younger and cheaper Tristan Jarry. Murray is arb eligible and earned $3.75 mill last season.

Can’t say enough good things about John Marino, watched him in the first round this year and for a rookie produced at a high rate this season for a rookie d man. Could potentially see him on the right side of Rielly for years to come.

You won't get anything close to that for Freddy.

2.) 15 Aug 2020 15:46:11
Also leafs don't add a pick in that deal.

^ absolutely love this guys user name. Lmao.

The Pittsburgh trade is a bit risky. I like the targets, but both have some question marks. Is Marino really a fixture on a teams defense, or is he going to be a one-hour wonder? Sophomore slumps are very real, and it's impossible to say at this point what the future really holds for him.

Murray seems to be the odd man out in Pittsburgh for a reason. His play has declined lately, and he just doesn't seem to be the player he once was. I still like him better long term than Andersen though.

It's a high risk/ high reward trade. If Marino and Murray can play at high standards again, then we win. If not, we lose spectacular.

Murray at 4mil or less i'd be ok with but the team would have to improve the D. and i don't just mean on the blueline. the leafs problems is all the forwards not playing D enough. i think Matthews has turned a corner but the rest need to go or step up.

TOR- Tyler Bozak

MTL- D- Noah juulsen, 2017 3rd round pick

This trade is would benefit both teams. Montreal gets a center they have been looking for especially with the injuries to Alex Galchenyuk and David Desharnais.

The leafs get a good young defence prospect who was never going to see top 4 minutes in montreal with the trade for shea weber and the signing of jeff petry. Noah juulsen brings a right hand shot that can produce in the offensive zone and also is very good in the defensive zone.

A lot to like about this kid Juulsen. He will be ready in 2018 last half. He is currently thin and needs to bulk up over the summer, but he stands at 6'2" and size won't be a problem later. Clearly talented.

Good Deal.

I still like Sergachev better, but the Leafs would have to give up more than Bozak for him.

Maybe Bozak, Dermott for Sergachev, Emelin(cap balance).

We can flip Emelin for late picks to a contender.

Great trade! Hopefully Montreal will bite on this.

3.) 31 Dec 2016 15:32:44
I have to say I like this trade. I can see Montreal doing it because they are in "win now mood" because on the age of there star players much like the Ducks.
People who think Ottawa is trading Chabot so that they can just make it into the the playoff are kidding themselves!

JVR can bring back a hefty return for the leafs.

TOR- JVR, 2017 4th round pick

NYI- Mathew Barzal, Ryan pulock.

You get a really good looking defence prospect that was taken mid first round back in 2013. He has yet to break into the league but in the few games he has played in he has impressed people. He is also a right hand shot. Mathew barzal is a great young center that I think can play on the wing and can create chances for the other players on the ice. He can also QB your power play.

Two prospects for JVR is not enough. Add their 1st to the equation.

2.) 31 Dec 2016 07:59:42
Plenty enough. That would be good trade for leafs. Isles won't trade Barzal

3.) 31 Dec 2016 15:11:42
Also would like to see the 1st added. That's the going price for top line players

You need to add a 1st from NYI to the Leafs. JVR's price is currently high.

Pulocks value has gone down, and Barzal doesn't have the numbers.

JVR's value has never been better.

Need to add big time. 1st or top prospect. I'd love to have both those players in blue and white though. I'd like to see Toronto stock up on 1st round draft picks for 2018 draft for a chance to draft Rasmus Dahlin, this kids going to be better than Ekblad.

I would trade up and draft liljegren. he was ranked second coming into the season by central scouting. dropped a bit because he had mono and missed a lot of time, still has the potential to be a top pairing d man with offensive flare.

I agree with goats, the players we would be sending to the ducks would not be helping them win the cup.

leafs are interested in Vladimir tkachyov. He is 21 years old, under sized winger playing in the khl. He put up ppg numbers in the QMJHL and now has 39 points in 45 games in the khl

this article I read stated that if the leafs signed jimmy vesey, they were going to try and trade Nylader for a d-man

the avs are currently looking for high end defenseman. the avs asked for travis hamonic and more for gabriel landeskog. the avs also asked for brandon carlo or charlie mcavoy in a deal with boston that could have included tyson barrie. it looks like the avs are looking for high end d-men and I don't think the leafs have enough to pull off a deal for barrie. the leafs could still try to offer a deal though with prospects involved:

to COL: D- Travis Dermott, F- Kasperi Kapanen, 2017 2nd round pick

to TOR: D-Tyson Barrie

i don't know if that would be enough for the avs though with what they're asking prices are for their trade assets right now
