Love it. Though it would have to be a bigger deal because Dallas only has about 2 million in space. It would also take that more to get both those players from Dallas. I do believe Dallas needs someone like phaneuf. Just not for that much. Toronto adds more and Dallas throws some salary there then yes but I don't see how Dallas could fit his salary.

Teams can only carry. 3 salary take backs at a time.so this has to be offseason when Gunnarson comes off leaf books. Leafs could take 2.5 million a yr in salary on phaneaf make him very attractive.

Phaneuf for Nurse, 20161st round pick (edm)
1.) I don't know if Edmonton would want to trade next years 1st. I feel like they almost expect to finish low at this point. But the idea of Phaneuf-Nurse is great. Don't know what else would have to happen to make it work, but I'm a fan.
2.) Phaneuf is not even close to a 1st round. Edmonton wants Hanifan. They will pass on Eichel for him. Who would trade Phaneuf for Hanifan? or Eichel or strome? Nobody!
