The Leafs add much needed Toffoli into the line up while taking a bad contract in Dustin Brown but could expose him in the expansion draft. L. A. receives JVR strong 2 line winger and after putting Lupul on LTIR get much needed cap relief.

As much as I want to get rid of Lupul, taking on Brown (31) is taking a bad step backward. He has been lousy for 4 years now, and on the books at 5.875 M for the next 6 years.

No way in hell Lou makes that move. The Kings would have to pay half his salary to make this trade. The Kings need to smack themselves for making such an ignorantly stupid contract.

Toffoli is a gem and is the right target. But I doubt the Kings will now trade him.

This deal is taking one step forward and two steps back.

Lupul is gone as early as this off season (bought out perhaps?). Brown will be another albatross contract for Lou to get rid of. No thank you.

No team in the league is going to take the Dustin Brown contract, even when it's exposed in expansion. Any trade that includes him is a non starter. 2 years of Lupul is WAY better than 6 years of Brown.

No need to worry lupul he is done his salary even insured. He isn't missing this year then returning next he is toast and maybe he even accepts it just happy to get his remaining dough.

I strongly believe that the New York Islanders should sit down with Tavares and figure out the future because they can not let him leave as a free agent for nothing and next season his last what would his trade value be to a team as a rental 1st round pick and a prospect doubtful who wants to give that up for a player heading to free agency

Tavares is an excellent hard working player and I think he would fit well in a leafs uniform not to mention mentor the younger leafs. With that said, as much as I really like Nylander and most know he will be an elite player in the near future, that’s all It would take to get Tavares. Above trade suggestion is way too much especially 1st and 2nd rd picks.

Nylander straight - up for Tavares.

My wife tells me my heart is made of stone when we watch a touching moment in a movie and I show no emotion. I should also point out I hate the OTTAWA SENATORS but my eyes welled up the other night there with Craig Anderson and what his wife is going through. To Mr Anderson I say from the bottom of my heart you and your family will be in my prayers and hope that everything works out for you and your family and this is hard for me to say but GO SENS GO.
