I like your thinking, I just can’t see the Wings giving up a top ten pick without being overwhelmed with value. That team needs serious help. It would be like the Leafs trading down a couple of years ago.

Totally agree. My point wasn’t to argue toward picking up Nash as he simply isn’t a fit, only that IF there was interest from the Leafs that it would require more of a payoff on NY’s side to make the deal. As far as Barrie goes, I think you’re on the right track starting with Gardiner as they’d likely want a replacement body on the backend.
