Man how important has Spezza became to this team scoring big goals at big moments but our defence is still atrocious

Philly has a lot of guys underachieving this year they are a bubble team right now and could use an offensive player leafs need defence no doubt about it just looking at Myers stats he looks like a solid player probably more added here since kapanen is signed and Myers is an rfa.

The first trade is good, but the 2and trade the Leafs are getting robbed! Kreider is a UFA.

First trade isn’t enough for Dumba and the second trade isn’t worth it yes Kreider is a great rental and Gorgiev would be a solid back up but both kapanen and Johnson have term on a reasonable cap hit so the leafs say no the rangers are hoping to sell high on Gorgiev and I’m not completely sold that they will move Kreider look at the money they spent on Panarin and Trouba they don’t want a rebuild.

Rangers already have one of the best, if not the best, farm teams. They still have all their own picks. They never did want to go full rebuild. More like a retooling. And they want to become competitive again as soon as possible. They must feel like they are close to becoming a contender. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kreider re-signs there. He is a good player and seems to have a good connection with some of the younger guys. That set play with DeAngelo a few weeks back just goes to show how good he fits with the team. If Rangers don’t trade him come deadline then I expect he will be getting a new contract very soon.

Fire nobody. Dubas is 1st year GM and has done a fine job. Lamourillo was here during the good years when all the stars were on ELC, I could have been GM then. Dubas has done nothing wrong and has kept the course to be competitive for the long haul.
Babs is our coach and can only work with what he has. We all want a tougher, meaner team just like the analysts keep preaching but that day will soon be gone, and the leafs are ahead of the curve here.
