I don’t think the leafs want to make the same mistake as Edmonton but I would say Nylander for Bouchard would be a good one.
20 Mar 2019 19:20:29
Tor:
Larsson 4.1
Kassian ( love the toughness and charater ) 1.9
Tor:
Nylander 6.9

Sign Hainsey for a one year deal

I don’t know if Edmonton can afford to make this trade, but if they could, I would think they would jump on this opportunity. Desperate for scoring wingers, were giving them two good ones here. They redeem themselves somewhat for trading Hall for Larsson to begin with. Larsson is doing well too. Actually, he’s playing his best hockey since joining the Oilers.
If the contracts matched better, I would say Leafs should go for it. But Larsson only has two years left after this one. It’s just not worth losing a high quality long term asset like Nylander for a couple years of Larsson. That’s just my two cents on it.
2.) 22 Mar 2019 21:41:03
Your giving up to much for a top 6d and a 4th line winger. This trade screams Hall for Larsson.
3.) 22 Mar 2019 21:45:20
I responded to this already, but it didn’t get posted. Probably going to show up now after posting this, so will be two responses.
Basically, I think Edmonton would make this trade if they can afford it. Even though they infamously gave up Hall for Larsson, they now find themselves with a lot of defensemen and a lack of scoring wingers. Larsson has being playing his best hockey since going to Edmonton. If the terms of contracts were better, I don’t think this is a bad trade for Toronto. With Larsson only having a short term contract though, I think Leafs are better off passing on this one and looking for a younger defenseman with more term. That’s just my two cents.

Leafs:
Zaitsev, Lindgren, Brown, 3rd rounder
Rangers:
Kreider
Mcquaid
Claim: Smith Pelly
Kreider Matthews Kapanen
Hyman Tavares Marner
Marleau Kadri Nylander
Johnsson Lindholm Smith Pelly
Reilly Hainsey
Muzzin Gardiner
Dermott McQuaid
We get speed size and toughness
1.) 21 Feb 2019 18:51:44
If we claim Smith-Pelly, we would have to lose someone off the current roster. It looks like Ennis and Gauthier are the fall guys here. There’s a reason he cleared waivers. He’s just not that good. Kreider is a very good player. The extra year on his contract is a real plus. Doesn’t make him a pure rental. If Rangers would go for this, I don’t see how it could hurt the Leafs. One snag is that NYR already have Staal and Shattenkirk they would like to be free from. Maybe they are cautious about Zaitsev?
2.) 21 Feb 2019 19:44:38
I don’t think you are giving up enough to get Kreider. You will probably have to add a first and a another prospect.
Also I think Smith-Pelly cleared waivers so the leafs declined to take him.
3.) 21 Feb 2019 22:45:38
You will have to add Kapanen. +.
4.) 21 Feb 2019 23:07:48
Trading two RHD when that is the Leafs greatest weakness.
You've got to be kidding!
28 Jan 2019 21:27:47
Trade:
Johnsson + 1st
for: Paryko
Trade:
Zaitsev + Late round pick
For - Andersson
Trade:
Bracco + 4th rounder
For - Boyle
Hyman Tavares Marner
Nylander Matthews Kapenen
Marleau Kadri Andersson
Lindholm Boyle Brown
Rielly - Paryko
Gardiner Hainsey
Dermott Oz
1.) 28 Jan 2019 23:10:52
Boyle really? I believe the reason they went and got LindHolm was to avoid giving up assets for players of Boyle’s skill set. I wouldn’t trade for Boyle and the Parayko trade well I enjoy the though of getting a player of his skill set but I would assume the price would be a little higher than a 1st and Johnsson. Well asking never hurts. I’m down if St. Louis is!
2.) 29 Jan 2019 04:36:52
The problem with trading Zaitsev here is that it still leaves us short on RHD. Sure, you bring in a stud 1RHD in Parayko, so defense does improve, but we still need to strengthen that right side some more. Most analysts I’ve been reading are suggesting that Toronto must need to bring in two players for that side: a stud like Parayko, and a depth guy like Gudas.
Without doubt, that right side of defense is our biggest weak spot now. It could be a long wait for Liljegren to grow into that top 4 (hopefully top pairing) player he is projected to be. Meanwhile, we are wasting valuable time without significantly improving the roster while we twiddle our thumbs counting and hoping on him to work out. And we don’t really have anyone else to fall back on if he gets hurt or busts. We should be showing up that position now before we run out of time or end up having to grossly overpay because of unfortunate circumstances leave us desperate. GM’s are like girls at a bar: they can smell desperation a mile away and dig gold like a Yukon miner.
3.) 29 Jan 2019 13:44:31
I don't think Lindholm is bringing much, he's not even playing ceneter now. They need some size and toughness to get through Boston, who they struggle with and will face.
Obviously this post chnages with the trade for Muzzin now, which i liked, becasue he does play the Right side even as a Left Shot.
I'm hoping they just add a little grit and size to the team and I think we could be in for a fun playoff run!
4.) 29 Jan 2019 15:11:02
Bracco for Boyle is like Hall for Larsson at a lower scale
If we can get Anderson for that though I’m all for it
Leafs got Muzzin so no need for Parayko anymore, plus we don’t have our 1st.
10 Oct 2018 13:31:45
Leafs Trade:
Nylander, 3rd round pick
St. Louis
Parayko
Sign - Rick Nash later on for 1-2 mil
Marleau Matthews Kapanene
Hyman Tavares Marner
Nash Kadri Brown
Lindholm gauthier Johnsson
Rielly Hainsey
Gardiner Parayko
Dermott Zaitsev
1.) 10 Oct 2018 13:51:24
I think if Nash wanted to play again he would've signed already, the trade isn't bad though, however if leafs trade Nylander I think they need a replacement for him like Eberle or Kase or maybe even Panarin.
I would also do this:
To NYI:
2019 1st, 2020 2nd, Zaitsev, Rasanen, Brown
To Leafs:
Pulock, Eberle.
2.) 10 Oct 2018 15:02:40
I like Zaitzev he looks like he’s back to his self this year and i think what you are offering won’t get eberle and their pulock.
3.) 10 Oct 2018 15:05:29
I would do this deal for eberle
Johnnson brocco 3rd
Eberle 3rd-4th
Him and kadri and brown would be a solid 3rd line.
4.) 10 Oct 2018 15:49:33
Not Bracco, I used to want to deal him a lot too, but he is a very special player and many other teams won't realize that, so my guess is NYI say no and leafs end up keeping Bracco.
5.) 10 Oct 2018 16:54:56
Not sure Blues make the Nylander for Parayko trade. May need some tweaking. Leafs add.
I don’t believe Leafs need to bring in someone to replace Nylander at all. From the looks of it, we can get along just fine without him. If we bring in a rental, we should do it closer to deadline when we have a better idea what we need.
6.) 10 Oct 2018 22:08:55
Defence is the issue. 20 goals for. 17 against. Without Nylander. Get Parayko for Nylander and if need be an add but for god's sake no more forwards until we look at defence.
23 Apr 2019 17:02:31
The defence is worse than this year.
Philly will not trade that either as Borgman and Marchment will not play in the NHL.
25 Mar 2019 20:30:53
Marleau will not waive his no trade either.
29 Jan 2019 13:44:31

How does Crouse go to first Line?
He can't get in the lineup in Arizona.
All for getting rid of Gardiner though.
Love the first trade.
16 Oct 2018 20:51:52
Love this Trade.
GIve kadri something toplay with as well, and improves the D.
