Jake Gardiner straight up.

If Trouba was good enough for the 1st line, he would have played there. Buffy's getting old and could use less minutes.

So for Winnipeg, they could rotate Trouba on and off the 1st and 2nd lines for a good evaluation. He would still get lots of minutes.

But No! Whiner boy doesn't want the competition, it has to be handed to him. He's not up to the challenge.

He's exactly where he needs to be; a 3rd line right D. And that's where they put him last year.

Why are we giving so much for Trouba? Jets need a goalie anyways so a trade and sign that involves bishop would make more sense. Jets have a deep prospect pool as well so a trade with Toronto probably won't happen

That is a GROSS overpayment for an unproven and IMO overrated player at this point. Giving up on a guy whose a legitimate top 2/4 defender and a prospect of that quality is insanity. No way does that deal get done. Good point Law17!

Winnipeg has unreal goalie prospects. They have 4 goalies who could all be playing right now. They need a top 4 LHD and some fwd depth.

Leafs lunch you rather go into the season with a young group and a young goalie. If they had bishop they would be so much better and still delvelop one of their goalies. I get what the jets are asking for but just like the oilers when you aren't holding any of the cards your not going to get what you want
