Then

I like your trade it may cost more than jvr but don't want our top prospects on Marlins moved kappanan or lipsic

2.) 25 Oct 2016 22:40:11
IF that first one got through (which it wouldn't because Toronto has to add) you don't make that second trade (even though he's a LH defender).

3.) 26 Oct 2016 04:20:29
This Anderson signing is brutal even if he recovers we must expose him to Vegas the leafs should have rode it out with bernier this year the last in his contract. Watch Anderson feet. He has no confidence Playmg in Toronto he won't survive Toskela Raycroft Bernier. This is awful 5 years of this turkey

4.) 26 Oct 2016 13:16:03
The first trade is fine. Toronto has added, as Stoner's cap dump is grease for the trade; The Leafs don't need Stoner at 31.

Only the Leafs can't do that right now, without using the LTIR.

Why on earth would you trade the much better DMan to the Jets while taking on even more salary.

I suggest you balance your trades monetarily prior to posting.

Three way trade:

WPG to TOR: Trouba
TOR to ANA: JVR
ANA to WPG: Lindholm.

Why not just eliminate the Winnipeg component, and trade JVR straight up for Lindholm?

2.) 07 Oct 2016 16:08:57
Because leafs need right defensman, jets need left defenseman and ducks need top line winger.

3.) 07 Oct 2016 17:17:59
Ducks get fleeced in this trade and the Jets then are in the same position as before: Who do they leave unprotected at the expansion draft next year?

Package JVR and a couple good forward prospects for Lindholm and deal with having three good LH defenders IMO.

4.) 08 Oct 2016 18:36:00
How do the Ducks get fleeced in this? It's a actually pretty fair 3 way deal

5.) 09 Oct 2016 18:06:43
Lindholm will stay with the ducks; they will probably sign him. But they are a budget team, so who knows for sure. Lindholm is a durable, 2 way, big, dependable DMan and would be much better for the Leafs than Trouba.

Tor: JVR + Nylander + Carrick (Nice boost to an anemic offense)

Ana: Max Jones + Nattinen + Montour (Moving on with the rebuild)

6.) 10 Oct 2016 22:33:31
Lindholm, unlike Trouba, is a legitimate top pairing defender who is elite. Stats don't lie. Besides they'll still have to lose a young defender next year so one more reason Anaheim says no.

WPG: Trouba, Petan
TOR: Gardiner, Marner.

JackJohnny63

1.) 01 Oct 2016 01:05:07
YOU can't be serious. Take the last 3 yrs Trouba has averaged just under 25 Pts. And Gardiner has averaged just over 25 pts. The only advantage is Trouba is younger. I might consider Gardiner for Trouba but Marner is already 10 times better than Petan. So no way do u add Marner for that junk.

2.) 01 Oct 2016 12:22:02
Marner? Sweet Jebus, give it up.

3.) 01 Oct 2016 15:08:07
Ya, no thanks! Terrible proposal

4.) 02 Oct 2016 13:58:57
another ridiculous proposal for Trouba. Those two from Jets wouldn't get Marner alone. Marner in NOT going to be traded for Trouba!!

29 Sep 2016 16:17:46
If Toronto wants Trouba this would be the only trade I see working without Reilly in it

WPG: Trouba, Petan
TOR: Gardiner, Marner

Gardiner isn't good enough on his own so Marner makes it more viable. Toronto also get Petan who is a high end prospect and could get into Torontos lineup this year

Winnipeg gets a young Center/ Right Winger to complement all their young Left Wingers.

Don't think so. TSN report had the Leafs offering Gardner and Soshnikov for him.

2.) 29 Sep 2016 18:47:54
Gardiner and Mr. MVP. lol. Gardiner and other prospect not named Matthews, Marner, Nylander, or Brown for Trouba

3.) 29 Sep 2016 22:46:09
Gardiner and either Kaspanen or Soshnikov make the most sense. Could even send them Corrado if they want a bottom pairing RH D player.

4.) 01 Oct 2016 19:07:20
Winnipeg doesn't need to trade Trouba; they just need to accommodate him. There are several ways to do that. Rotate him on those lines would be one.

A list of why the Leafs don't need Trouba:

- His offense is average.
- His defense is only slightly better than average.
- His US development means absolutely squat in the NHL.
- He just put himself before the team.
- He wants a lot more money; he just won't admit it now.
- He feels he's better than Buffy & Tyler; He's not.
- His argument is that with B & T in the way he needs to leave.
- He'd risk going to a losing team instead of staying with the Jets
- Way too much hype for a relatively unaccomplished Dman
- His attitude will always be this way.
- His team mates will always remember this.
- It's not like his +/- was +40
- He's played 3 years in the peg, and digressed each year.
- 21 pts. the new standard for RH DMen. Surging past Larson's 18.
- No one is as stupid as Chiarelli was.

On the Leafs side:
- there are better options around.
- RH DMen can be had in bigger deals that solve each teams needs. - Anaheim has better Dmen available.
- The timing is wrong; nowhere within reach this year for Leafs.
- The exp. draft. and exploiting availability just before that.
- Lou loves DMen and would not give up 1 he likes, in any deal.
- Saying goodbye to Carrick in the exp. draft.

MARNER IS NOT ON THE TRADE TABLE AT THIS POINT.

So far his progression has been perfect. Only AM can match that on the Leafs.

JackJohnny must be from Winnipeg.

Trouba and Petan would not get Marner alone. in fact Leafs would laugh at that. Trouba is already a pain in the ass to his current team, seems to think he's worth wy more than he really is. Leafs may be better served to stay away from him. IF they feel they need to get him, than Gardiner and a middle of the road prospect or 2nd round pick should be all they offer.

WPG: Trouba, 22nd Overall Pick 2016 (CHI)

TOR: Rielly.

JackJohnny63

1.) 18 Jun 2016 05:25:13
Like trouba. He and Reilly same draft. 4th and 9th OA. Like the 1st round pick. Reilly 92 points in three years, trouba 72 points in three years. Close. Points not only determine factor. Leafs prob pass.

2.) 18 Jun 2016 09:11:34
Trouba is solid and will have a good career. Reilly is the next "C" with potential to be 1 of the best in the league. 22 pick isn't enough. IF TRADE IS REAL. a B. Little, Schieffle. you would need a guarantee piece.

3.) 18 Jun 2016 22:14:48
Jets are in need of forwards (especially since Ladd left). I'm not completely sure that Trouba wouldn't be let go for either a JVR type deal or a package of a number of players.
