As much as everyone wants to disagree with your first deal, I'm actually a fan of this deal. Toronto gets the RHD that everyone seems to feel they need. The new they get sone grit to play on any line that the leafs lack.

Minnesota gets a puck moving dman. Then they get the prize of this deal.
Both teams get better at this particular moment.

Long term I have no clue who wins this deal. Time is needed to see how it would play out. No real flaws in this deal.

The second deal I can't comment.

I don't think the Wild will give Dumba up and they can't afford Gardiner so he would be a rental.

Nylander and Gardner for Dumba and Neideriter would be fine but not Foligno.
Leafs already have enough of that style of player.
Even if Leafs have to add a 2nd round pick or prospect to make the deal.

Leafs have been bad in their zone this year and with so much (potential) offence up front we can spare some on the back end

Both are UFA's at the end of the season. Devils can use offence from the back end and Lovejoy is a RHD with playoff experience who is more of a defensive dman.

Nylander is worth more then Pesce and a third, the Dumba one is better
The Gardiner trade is terrible, Crouse sucks, he is like a younger version of Matt Martin, the leafs don’t need him

Also if the leafs had Zaitsev and Ozhigamov playing on the second d line, the. defence would get even worse.

Not enough in return for a package of Nylander and Gardiner. The Leafs will be able to flip Gardiner at the deadline for a minimum of a 1st alone.

I like your lineups. Not at all what I would have expected with the incoming players. Very original and outside the box.

Chychrun’s knee is a bit of a concern. He’s close to returning, but I would still take a wait and see approach before making an offer on him.

Someone on this site once told me Crouse was a bust, but I think it’s still too early to tell. He’s playing on a pretty bad team after all. A change of scenery might be in order.

Is the rerun of equal value? If Crouse works out and becomes top 6 forward then yes. Still a bit of a gamble at this point though with Chychrun being injured (knee at that), and Crouse underperforming.

It’s definitely original, and that alone makes this trade praise worthy.

If Lawson Crouse isn't a bust then he might trending there. I know on crappy team but 6 goals in 87 career games. Do you not think he would have got 10-15 by getting few off his backside or skate?

Nylander 42 goals in last two full seasons

You have Crouse on Leafs first line. Why? You have Johnson as extra. At least he was MVP in AHL playoffs. I would rather go with the guy I know about then guy I don't know about

I agree Chycrun knee might be a worry.

I still ask why Leivo is on this team. My opinion.

Everyone on this site looking through blue and white spectacles. And I’ll admit, I’m one of the worst (look at my username after all) .

These players look very comparable imo. Yet one is consistently called a bust, and the other is considered a success.

Lawson Crouse plays 3rd line on one of the worst teams in the league. He is almost exactly a full year younger than Kapanen, yet has more games played. Both have been healthy scratches in the past, and both have had injuries set them back a little.

While Kapanen has the edge in points, he’s not exactly star material, and he is also playing with better players.

If Kapanen was on any other team, everyone would be calling him a bust. I still think it’s too early to call Crouse a bust. He may still turn out to be a top six forward if given the chance.

Bozak can easily return a late 1st and a prospect. I'd rather have that, than a no offense Dman.

Not sure if Tanev is doing all that much to help Vancouver. They can keep him.

Many fans on this site don't like Phaneuf and that's ok but there are many teams being reported to be interested and the value looks to be high draft pick and prospect(mid level). There are talk that the Leafs want to clear salaries to bring in BIG FA's when they become UFA's in 2016(Stamkos, Lucic, Staal.E, Seabrook, Johnson.E, Kopitar, Okposo, Yandle, Voracek, Backes, Ladd). There is also talk of Kessel on the market with the asking price being more than what they gave up (2 1st's, 2nd).

What are the possibilities for the Leafs, and I am asking for realistic trades for what they are worth NOT what you undervalue them at
