Leafs get a young big rh defenceman,plus free up one more roster spot,islanders get another center which they can use,hunwick brings some mobility to their defense,leafs may have to sweeten the draft pic a bit or throw in a prospect that Burke drafted as I don't think they are going to throw in any pics that the new management team has drafted

The flames have Hamilton at 5.75 for 5 years. He just had a great year. As far a Dmen go; he is the real deal.
So don't bother looking to get Dougie, he's staying there until Free Agency at least and if it took Hall to get Larson; what on earth do you think it's going to take to get Hamilton. Hamilton is way better than Larson.
Of course you could say Burkie already traded him once. So you really never know.

Yes it may have been wishful thinking but he did have a slow start and ended up with half his usual points and was -11 or something like that and with Burke u never know,I really don't think there going do much until after Las Vegas does their draft,on defence anyways

That's short sighted. The leafs have a veritable ton of offensive prospects coming up who will more than fill the void of JVR departing over the next few years.With Anderson signed long term, the only major need for this team moving forward is a solidified top 4 D group. Keep in mind this is only year 2 of the rebuild, and realistically we still have a few years to go before the leafs are legit contenders.
I'd make the trade in a heartbeat, but I don't see CAL pulling the trigger on this.

Hamilton is the real deal. Unsigned Trouba wishes he could fill his skates. Calgary has no intention of trading him, why would they? He is a part that every team that wants and needs to succeed.
Please give up on Hamilton. Boston was stupid to trade him. Calgary is not going to make that mistake, and there is only one Chiarelli in the league, we hope. Of course they do have Burkie who essentially already traded him, hmmm.
The Leafs have time on their side and some good prospects, you just have to have patience.

What you have there from the leafs propbably isn't enough to pry just Pietrangelo away (however you spell his name). Parayko is the reason the Blues made Shattenkirk available. And then you add a 2nd round pick from them. I'm sorry to say but this is one of the most laughable trades i've seen on here.

Hopefully Zaitev is real good and gets stronger as the season goes on and this is no issue but there may be a time when he tells Lou he's going to test the free-agent Market then what do we do, trade him at the deadline and what would he bring in a trade, just thought I would throw that out there.

Zaitsev signed in Toronto over other teams for a reason clearly, he must either like what he sees or likes the opportunity he is being given. Since he is an RFA next year, we be able to use this year as a test to see if he will work out and what he's worth. So no I'm not too worried at this point

I like all the trade line deals but I think bozak will go to contending team as a third or fourth line Center, I think Carolina is in the same mode is Toronto and will not be interested in trading away picks or prospects, let me throw this at you what happens if Zaitev wants to test the free-agent Market next year do you trade him at the deadline or hope you can resign him in the offseason
