With Buffalo the favourite to sign UFA Goalie Carter Hutton, They Don't Have A solid backup Goaltender, adding Calvin Pickard would be that solid backup goalie which they have been missing, aswell the addition of Ron Hainsey means that they get a good veteran Defenceman to help them with there Penalty kill

With calvin pickard our of the picture now, this gives toronto an oppourtunity to sign joseph woll, who has proven at Boston and at the Juniors that he is able to play at the top level, of course he would be playing in the AHL behing Gerret Sparkes to start.
Aswell, in less than 24 hours JT will be making his decision so this releases some cap space so that they can get JT and sign JVR, this would be a good trade for both sides and would make sense for both sides

I agree with Heatdreamer. Only question is does Dallas want RNH? Possibly, but I think they'd rather have Klingberg, like just about everyone else.
He's a top RHD, 4.25M/ yr for 4.5 years, only 25. I wonder how many 3 ways have been scuttled for something like that.

Not including this year; Bozak by stats, rates in as a better than average 2nd line center. Plus he's good at faceoffs and is a consummate pro. Not bad for an undrafted player.
Of course he back checks like a sloth, but it's hard to notice when JVR is lost on the other side of the center line, and Marner can't figure out which one to cover for.
Still; we need to move him.

That being said; the Stars are not going to trade their top RHD for anything less than what the Isles got back for Hamonic (1st, 2nd, cond 2nd) .
Klingberg (he's a point a game right now) is much better than Hamonic. So it will be more, quite a bit more.
You can only get a top RHD by overpaying, or getting a reasonable deal at the trade deadline, if the player is to be an UFA. Look at what the Capitals paid for Shattenkirk just as a rental at the deadline last year.
Sorry, but your deal isn't even in the ballpark, and I don't think the Stars will move him any time soon, since he's cheap at 4.25M for the next 5 years.

Ennis is a solid fourth line utility player, he can play all forward positions and for a cheap price as well, for 650k for a player that does not much have downside, at worst we are paying for a top 6 AHL forward and could get a 7th rounder at the deadline.
