Benefits for Toronto
They get another rhd capable of playing top 4 mins, makes space for one of there younger lhd to challenge for a spot, the addition of Copp will help fill the void if bozak, enstrom is currently injuried and is on an expiring contract will provide good depth on defense when he returns

Not good for the Jets. We loose 2 good defensemen and only get one back. Plus we loose a decent young center for 30 year old Komarov. This does nothing to help the Jets.

That's just dumb man sorry why would u give up a solid d man/ young prospect who's been killing the second half of ahl playoffs and was said to be an important piece during the Marlies playoff run . i. sorry but no. and kapenan has proved to be a stud with ahl affiliates until he got injuries then came back played important role in playoffs for leafs that's why your not the gm and thank God for that.

Dermott has 0 nhl experience so what he did good in the AHL it's not the NHL look at players such as tj Brennan he was awarded the Eddie shore twice with Toronto did you see him do anything in the nhl? Toronto a lot of depth on the wing kapanen is a small skilled forward we have plenty of those kind of players (marner, nylander, brown, leipsic, timashov) we can afford to move him. Yeah you giving 2 good prospects but your not going to get dumba for nothing his a 22 yr old rhd who is capable of playing in the top 4.

Anaheim as we all know have a ton of young defensemen and due to the expansion they won't be able to keep all of them.
Trade 2
Tor - Landeskog
Col- gardiner, Kapenen , anaheims 2018 1st (acquired in previous trade)
With trading jvr a spot opens up on the wing for Landeskog, last year he had his worst year point wise but was also playing for a bad Colorado team, he would be a terrific upgrade for hyman on that top line with Matthews

I like the idea of just moving JVR to Dallas for the third overall pick but you have to think they would be more likely to ask for a dman but sill. what about
JVR and some d prospect to Dallas for the third overal, niemi and the rights to the nakushkin? Just an idea.

Colorado is blowing things already made it clear mackinnon and rantennan are the only untouchables.
Leafs have an abundance of prospects and small forwards. Landeskog can add size and grit with still being able to contribute offensively.
The value should be pretty fair for both teams, Toronto maybe even giving up to much. Conner brown is a young roster player that has scored points than Landeskog this year, Dermott and either Kapanen or Leipsic are good young prospects that are almost ready to make the jump to the NHL.
Landeskog would be a great replacement for Hyman on the top line with Matthews and Nylander

Landeskog isn't worth the length/ amount of his contract. LW is a concern for the leafs moving forward, especially if/ when JVR and or Komarov move on, but the leafs would be better off adding someone more cost effective than Skog.
A better fit to possibly trading with COL is a straight up hockey trade of Gardiner for Duchene.

I like the concept but I can't see the leafs trading bozak unless they are getting another centre in return. Leafs are thin up the middle in depth especially with the injury to gauthier.

Tampa adds, rielly is currently a top 4 dmen and is one of the top up and coming dmen in the league. Teams are paying a premium for dmen like this main example ha for larsson. Rielly probably has a higher value then Larson does and drouin doesn't not have value of that of a hall.
