Heatdreamer you are absolutely too funny. We got to get you on Yuk Yuk’s. Without doubt I am absolutely positive that you know a lot about hockey, the teams, and fairness value. Your comments reveal you are an astute and keen observer. And yet, without exception, every single proposal you float heavily favors the Leafs. I like it, because in my fantasy world, Leafs win the cup every time you suggest trades like these, and I absolutely love hyping players and carrying discussions (as you must know by now I’m sure) . I just get a kick that guys like you and Willy love floating proposals like these to get reaction from me and Craigger and mostleaf.

I love these trades. Keep em coming. There is nothing I enjoy more than wasting my time at work reading proposals like this and seeing if they make sense for us. Good job Heatdreamer.

Let's play positive/ negative

Philly. they get an elite winger to play with Patrick. watch out this makes Patrick a 60 point guy. they also get to see if Sparks is any good. They need goaltending and this is goaltending. kind of

Philly. lose a fan favourite dman suited for this city. A guy comes out of nowhere to become elite. let's just call him the Rocky of the Flyers. they also lose possibly their best goaltending prospect since Pelle Lindberg back in 84.

Aniheim or Carolina. They gain a long term defenceman whom at his best looks like a bottom pairing but you get him a very long time. a 2nd Rd pick is nothing to sneeze at and Leivo is well. Leivo.

Aniheim or Carolina. not only do they get a boat anchor contract they lose a pretty good dman here. montour on a good contract and Faulk on a good contract but for 1 more year after this. Can Leivo make his team? That 2nd rounder could be #62

Colombus. they get a defence first forward and a left handed D who doesn't mind hitting people

Colombus. lose a fan favourite who loves to hit and is getting his groove on this year

Toronto. gain one heck of a dman who replaces Gardiner in every way. they gain probably the best goaltending prospect. they don't need to deal with Nylander anymore. lose a boat anchor contract and gain a solid RHD to play with anyone as this person becomes the best RHD the leafs have had in ages. can't say enough good things about Anderson. leafs should win cup now

Toronto. not much negativity here. besides the fact the leafs don't have a backup goalie now and lose an elite forward who is greedy and a 2nd Rd pick I think that's about all.

Overall all deals help Leafs and hurt other teams (philly deal is closest however) realistically. so go for it Dubas. I dare you.!

This was fun. thankyou.

Craigger,

Thank you for examining my position for the Leafs in Trades.

Amending these offers to allow for some members perception of the imbalance that was initially presented,

Nylander Trade must be a real special move by Dubas. Nylander is a high demand winger that will be eventually underprice.

Leafs need a a top notch defense-man preferably RHD + a cherry on top. Because Leaf fans are emotionally invested, the Leaf fans diminish Nylander's value.

Brown trade for Anderson is not that far off, with a solid DM from the minors being offered. Let it be Rosen or Borgmann

Finally the boat anchor defense-man (i AGREE), increase the offer to a Leafs 1st, I believe should incentivize Anaheim or Carolina to cough up Montour/ Faulk.

Leaf GM, I found your response unnecessarily condescending, and when you and another member went at each other, I did not support the interaction. But, I caution your response and I have withheld my reaction because nothing good would come from a response by my part.

That is why I have waited till someone like Craigger to examine the trades and make a more appropriate comments.

Last point Leafs are suppose to win the trades, and if the Leafs were to lose the trade, everyone would be satisfied?

This type of stuff is why I don't post much anymore. I enjoy discussing trades. I understand fully that some of mine are crap. But I post them to get a response. Some sort of build on

I posted one last week. Matthews for dumba and neiderreiter. Knowing itvwasbt complete. Knowing more was needed. Knowing Matthews isn't going anywhere. But from a cap perspective it was one alternative to keep everyone else.

What did I get? "You're nuts" was one. Just makes me laugh.

I like one sided trades. Gives us something to discuss. Unfortunately too many people want to make fun. And those people are just sad to me

W are not GM's. And no-one on here is that much more knowledgeable than I am. They just like to appear that way.

Again, it's too bad. But is what it is.

@heatdreamer

I apologize for being condescending. I actually wasn’t trying to be. Maybe if you put up a little commentary with your proposals I could get some insight into your thinking?

It’s absolutely not possible to agree with everyone all the time, and disagreement is natural and bound to happen because everyone has the worst own opinion about the players and ideas about where the team should be heading.

I’ll try to be more neutral and positive in my comments in future and reserve judgement and instead focus on the merits of the players.

We are all on here for fun and cheap entertainment. I don’t want to have anyone with a bad taste in their mouth. As you pointed out, harsh criticism is unnecessary and causes friction among the members and makes this forum less enjoyable.

Nothing wrong with a little bit of humour to lighten the mood around here

It's all fun and once Nylander situation is over all we will have is Goatier for McDavid deals headed our way.

This has been the most interesting summer for a Leaf fan since the cap era happened.

Enjoy it people because once it's over you'll miss it all. being a GM on a forum is a dream come true for me. thankyou everyone, bad deals or good deals, it makes me stay away from Facebook. cheers!
