The original deal for this topic had nothing to do with Slavin or a Nylander.

Why must the whole deal change just to make someone feel superior here?

Please people stop doing this. If you want a different deal completely start your own thread. stick to what was suggested.1 or 2 changes ok. changing whole deal completely is just wrong.

Now back to original deal.

Zaitsev is a large amount of money for a while for a team that seems to penny pinch wherever they can. His value is not near his return. 5 more years of him at that salary doesn't seem to fit with a team that only sign maybe 4-5 long term deals at a time. They are a team that signs OK players for 2 years max. They traded for their stud D because they didn't feel Hanafin was their man. zaitsev is galaxies behind Hanafin.

Brown and Bracco in my opinion is worth Ferland. So half this deal is worth it to Carolina. Now what would it take to get Faulk?
