Columbus deal raised my eyebrows. Most people would suggest trading pending UFA’s like Gardiner for a pick and a prospect, rather than a project and a plug. I mean, I like Jenner, but No Hurry Murray has got to be considered a bust by now. But then again, any return is a good return. Dermott is increasingly making Gardiner expendable by the day.

That Carolina trade. Very interesting. I love it. We pay Carolina a 2nd to take Zaitsev off our hands. They don’t lose Faulk for nothing that way. Carolina collects defensemen like they were Pokémon cards. They might want the long term cost stability that Zaitsev brings and run with Hamilton/ Pesce/ Zaitsev down the right side. There’s a lot of people on this site suggesting we don’t need Faulk. But would rather have 2 years of Faulk than 6 more years of Zaitsev.

Outstanding. Next to not dying in my sleep, this was the highlight of my day. That Zaitsev for Faulk trade blows my mind. Boo Zaitsev. Yeah Faulk.

Rest of deals are pretty good also but have to admit I'm kinda flabbergasted by the first one I can't stop drooling.

Isn’t rather keep kapanen yea he doesn’t have the passing ability of nylander but he’s more use full

-crazy speed
-good shot
- can play physical
-great pk guy
-at times has some great hands

All nylander give us is passing a shot and an anchor of a contact also kapanen would only make 4 mil a yea tops unless he starts piping out 70pts a year.
