This post did not go through yesterday so apologize if this repeats

If Kings continue to stumble they may be ready to move some guys. As was discussed earlier this week when they were here they need to get younger and definitely faster. Gone are days of them being dominate with their size and heaviness. Another loss yesterday. 3 this week

I am still focused on Leafs improving their biggest weakness, bluline

Muzzin 3rd
Rosen Bracco Leivo (I am always trying to dump Leivo)

Muzzin has 4.0 AAV for this and next. Kings eliminating 4.0 helps their cap

Muzzin plays with Doughty. He can handle heavy minutes

If it doesn't work Leafs easily move him next summer

Kings have 8 guys over 30 throughout their roster

Your thinking on this is bang on. However, the players you are dealing for Muzzin are not there.

The kings would need a dman capable of filling Muzzins skates and minutes to make this happen. Would a deal involving Gardiner work?

LA would need to send some salary back in this deal but Doughty definetly covers up Gardiners faults but Gardiner also adds youth and speed over Muzzin and fills in his minutes.

Muzzin improves defence and with Gardiner leaving this puts more on Dermott offensively. deal involving these 2 actually could help both teams.

Gardiner Leivo for Muzzin and Clifford (salary coming back)

Does this work?

Ps Muzzin is an old Sau boy isn't he?

My thought is Leafs feel they can go for it this year so why take Gardiner out of lineup? Muzzin replaces Hainsey who moves to 6-7 spot. Save his minutes for playoffs. Keep Gardiner for rest of year.

You want to adjust trade go ahead but don't replace 1 D for another. Why do Kings need to send salary back? Muzzin and Gardiner make same thing. LA may feel they take step back this year and may trade others. They will have to restructure their D from within.

David Mackin,

What does your comment have to do with the post?

I get what your saying. If Leafs go this route for a guy like Muzzin without needing a guy to replace him coming back than Leafs will need to make a better package for him. AHL players simply won't cut it. and yes Leivo is an AHL guy who can't be sent down but AHL skill through and through.

Rocket9,

Do comments need to have anything to do with posts are we following some kind of rule?

David, it would be helpful yes. If you want to actually post, no one has a problem with it.

But people want criticism on their posts, normally.

As for the post, i doubt LA takes that. Theyd need at least our first for Muzzin. i'd love Muzzin tho.

No rules

Just random comment after post which had nothing to with Marleau or Grunstrom. Confusing.

David.

Not a big deal but maybe just post that in Leafs talk? This will start a whole new conversation.
