I don’t even know what to say to suggest making this trade better. Even if you substitute Nylander for Kapanen, Columbus still says no.

Maybe Nylander + Gardiner = Dubois

Still early, but I have a hard time thinking Dubois is anything less than Marner capabilities.

Not sure what you mean by that. Maybe we don’t fully understand what Nylander brings to the table without Matthews. But it’s pretty clear what Dubois brings to the table. He’s going to be Panarin and Marner equivalent.

DBF will never post a proposal or even make suggestions to improve a trade. He even criticizes good trades. He’s a troll. Simple as that.

I always like your suggestions though. You’ve always posted good trades and come up with some pretty insightful stuff. And you are right here. We can trade Leivo and Giveaway for futures. Frees up a couple contracts and gives us a return for Gardiner rather than lose him to free agency.
