The cap for 2019 will be 81.5 to 85 MM. Your Forwards cost over $60 MM + $6 MM for Goaltending. Kessel is $1.2 MM. Now you are around $70 MM. How are you going under the cap/

You require a LW still instead of Marleau and what are you doing with Johnsson. Also, you traded LEIVO twice.

Aside from trading Leivo twice, it looks pretty good. This is one of your better proposals here Willy. Still going to be tight against the cap though. You might have to find a way to dump salary. But ignoring that issue and focusing on the trade itself and the players involved, I think you nailed it.

Panarin would have to sign an extension first so we don’t end up like Columbus and trade a long term asset like Saad for a guy who only wants 2 year deals.

I like the way you line it ip here to make valuation easy. Nylander ~Panarin, Gardiner > Murray, Leivo.

I’m actually surprised Oilers didn’t do anything major during the off season. Waiting until season starts and his team tanks and digs a hole too deep to climb out of is the dumbest thing he could have done. The best GM’s are proactive, not reactive. How Chiarelli though the same team he iced last year wasn’t going to have different results this year is beyond me. Einstein said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So maybe Chiarelli isn’t stupid, he’s just crazy. I don't know. But McDavid’s back has to be hurting at this point carrying the entire team. As it stands right now, McDavid is the only one on the team with more than one goal, and has scored 40% of all goals on the team. If I was McDavid, I would force the issue by demanding a trade. Crosby didn’t have to suffer through such inept management before Pittsburgh became contenders, neither did Matthews, nor should McDavid.

Desperation must be setting in. They are still a .500 team though David, so maybe after they drop a few more games and fall down the standings more, we will see something happen. I for one would be more than willing to basically give Chiarelli the puck moving defenseman he thinks he needs so bad. But since it’s Chiarelli, maybe we can get Edmonton’s 1st for Giveaway? If we could make just that trade alone this year, then I would be happy with Dubas’ performance.
