I like both these players you suggested. I don’t think Buffalo pulls the trigger though. While Nylander for Ristolainen might work, Gardiner + 1st for Mittlestadt is a no-go from Buffalo. Mittlestadt is a very highly rated prospect player and Buffalo has high hopes for him. Looking to continue to rebuild, Buffalo is accumulating picks and prospects. Gardiner is an aging 2LHD who will be looking to cash out on his next contract. I don’t think Buffalo has much use for him.
