I wouldn't if I was GM. Lilly will be replacing Gardiner next year and Kapanen is a top 6 talent. Marleaus replacement. the first can be used at deadline to grab a rental for a run at the cup.

No way. Liljegren is a stud and future of Leafs defense core for the next decade. Would like to have Hamilton on the team, but not for this price.

I want to start by saying Liljegren could be a stud but could also be a dud.

Dealing for Hamilton might seem like a good idea. However, I'd like to point out that every team that had him dealt him for in the end the better player.

Unless you can guarantee Liljegren isn't the best player in the end then no deal.
Also, unless you can guarantee we can flip Hamilton to another team in a year for the better player coming back then no deal. Both sceneries no one knows the end result so no deal.

Personally I'd take my chances on Liljegren. He doesn't cost 6 million if he doesn't work out.
