Dumba is their D-man for now and the future.

Niedereiter is ine of the best two way players in the game and just look at Stalls stats last year.

Kadri and Brown are giod players but Gardiner is a UFA and the 2nd means nothing.

Very one sided trade.

The major problem I see with this trade is Staal is not a long term replacement for Kadri. I would be asking for Kunin or Ericsson Ek to be coming back in return as well.

I’m on Jodes side. I think they should trade Kadri as well. It would be in Leafs best interest if they can secure a 1RHD by downgrading 3C. Makes a lot more sense than trading 1RW Nylander.

Leafs are not trading Kadri, for many reasons. 1. He has one of the best contracts in the NHL which means he has value, sure we can trade him for a crap ton but he is more valuable to us. 2. He is a player that can do just about anything. PP, PK, shutdown role, checking, scoring, and to have that guy at 4.5mil is a steal. 3. Leafs have the deepest forward roster in the NHL with Kadri as 3C and he will form a solid line with Johnsson-Kadri-Kapanen
4. He helped us get Tavares here, they are very good friends and plan to play together for a long time, we are not trading him. Does BigWilly need to keep going? Nuh uh don't think so my boy 43 is staying in 6ix.
