Honestly Idk what the leafs would send back cause idk what Nashville needs player wise but Ellis is a solid player that plays with a lot of heart and I think he would match well with Riley.

What do you guys think it would take to get this done

Apparently he is asking for $6.5-$7M over 6 years. I just read an article saying he is worth right around that amount and should receive it, but probably not from Nashville. The author of the article was pretty explicit that $5.0-$5.5M is a lowball offer and Ellis would only take a contract in that range if he was willing to take a hometown discount, which seems unlikely.

I'd wait and see what develops from our home grown guys. Certainly not trading Kaps OR a first. unless it's Brent Burns.
